Yes! I am talking about the same Basil plant ( Tulsi ) here.

Basil Plant's leaves

The holy Tulsi or Basil, also known as the “queen of herbs” is the most sacred of all the herbs found in India! This sacred plant is found in almost every Indian household. Tulsi has been used in India for around 5000 years and is acclaimed for its healing properties of the mind, body and spirit.

An Amla a day, keeps fat away!

In this era, everyone wants perfection;Tips and guidance from the one they consider worthy for it,and when to our rescue and comfort come out a site itself, which is capable to answer all your non-sense to interesting queries so easily. Then,no one fails to rely on such sites.
For me and millions, that site came out to be RewardMe. I have been reading the site’s brilliant posts since like eight-nine months. And is it any better?
Be it the varieties it holds under the several sections or the quality language and tips they use, never fails in impressing me any less.
For me,this site has played an important role in my life; You can say as a guide- Real one.
For any question that eats up my mind by appearing anytime,I know I can rely upon RewardMe to get the answer.
So,I have read like, several posts, among which, mostly all really helped me out in something or everything.
I generally, prefer to read articles which come under Beauty and Health section. So about which I am going to write here,is itself an article from the section- “Health“.

It stated about the various benefits of Amla in weight loss and how one could take in amla so as to lose some weight.
I read it and actually found it useful and so effective that from the next morning,I started consuming in Amla as much as the article has suggested to. I never knew though that this tiny cute thing could help our body to:

Build immunity
Increase metabolism
Lose weight
Absorb nutrients like iron better
Eliminate toxins
Improve digestion
Better bowel movements (fibre helps)

Through the article,I came to know a lesser known fact that amla is an effective weight loss aid. I never knew about it,that how its high fibre content helps flush out waste from the body. Though I knew about some of its features and good points,on which I believed wholeheartedly when actually I watch my body change and grow in a better way.
Including amla in the diet through food and juices will help anyone lose weight naturally and easily. I have been taking it in since two months and have already seen myself transforming. How my rough hairs have transformed to soft and glossy, how my skin has become soft from rough, and how my body has changed drastically in these two months.
When I first read the article, the only question that had raided my brain that time was this ” How to include Amla in my diet?”
My question got its answer when I read further about the recipes which were absolutely brilliant. You must try these if you think you are having some extra fat anywhere in your body or a dry and rough scalp and hair.
Drinking amla juice is the easiest way to benefit from this super food.  Amla is available in plenty from December through April. You could even mix it with aloe vera juice. You can also add a couple of teaspoons of amla juice to fresh fruit juices for flavour.

RECIPES :

When you feel tired and exhausted:

Juice from 3 large amlas
1.) ½ tbsp. lemon juice
2.) 2 tbsp. bilva (wood apple) juice concentrate or juice from 1 fruit
3.) 15 gm. crushed ginger
If you are using whole fruits, press the juice out and combine in a bowl.
4.)Add 200 ml water and add salt to taste.
Serve chilled.

Amla Honey Shots

1.) 4 whole amlas, chopped coarsely (discard seeds)
2.) ½ tsp. star anise powder
3.) 1 tsp. amla crush (store bought)
4.) 1 tbsp. honey
5.) 1 ½ cups of water
6.) 4 tbsp. crushed ice
7.) Combine chopped amla, the crush, star anise powder and 1 ½ cups of water in a blender.
8.)Strain and mix in honey.
Serve over crushed ice in shot glasses.

Plain and Pure Amla Juice

1.) Chop 1 kg amla into small pieces and discard the seeds.
2.) Put pieces in batches in a mixer and grind into a fine paste.
3.) Use a fine cloth and put the paste in.  4.) Squeeze tightly and extract as much juice as possible.
Fresh juice can be refrigerated and lasts for 15 days.
5.) If you require more quantities to be preserved for a few months, add 2 tbsp. of sodium lactate for every 500 grams of juice.
This will last for 8 – 10 months.Another option is to make ice cubes.

Amla can also be eaten as dried or by experimenting on it.
Be it sweet or sour. Amla is actually my life saviour so is this site.
So an amla a day, keeps your body fat miles away from you.

Just stay the way you are. Do not show them what you actually are hiding from them. Maybe they don’t deserve it.
Smile and let them think that you are fine with and without their efforts.
Smile because you know you will stay the same as you are today, even if they are putting lots of efforts or not. Whatever.
Keep your secrets up to you and you will be happier. No one is interested in listening you and your story.
Though people would continue to ask you -” Hey! What’s your story?”

Just Smiley Effect Things!

Your house smells really good when you are living in it but what happens when you leave your house all alone, locked? When you return, you must be welcomed by some horrid smell. And then you remember how you are missing onto your house’s cleanliness.
But what happens when you you leave your house early in the morning and return the same evening but again you are greeted with the familiar bad odour then it is an abosolute problem.
If you’re like me or the millions of travellers this holiday season, you likely walked into your home after several days away and became acutely aware that *gasp* your house has a smell!
It’s a smell that is probably constant, yet you’ve grown so accustomed to living with it that you hardly ever notice. It might not necessarily be a bad smell, and in fact some homes are downright pleasant on the nose.
In my case, however, I had to face the fact that my house smelled…well…old, bad, horrid and what not.

Some guests confirmed my epiphany when they came home a couple of days later. Moments after crossing the threshold, they stopped and said -“You need to do something about this irritating and bad smell”.

It’s unlikely that we will ever be rid of the mustiness that tends to be characteristic of older homes, but we’ve come up with five ways to “mask the must” when we’re feeling particularly self-conscious about it.

1.) Air It Out: The simplest and cheapest solution is to open our windows and let the outside in! For those of you living in moderate climates with a lack of extreme temperatures (such as the Bay Area), this an option basically year-round. For the rest of you, keep reading.

2.) Cleaning: Sometimes our home just needs a little scrub.Vinegar is especially good at banishing that musty smell.

3.) Cooking: Few things make a home smell more glorious than the aromas of the kitchen. Morning coffee, sautéed garlic, or freshly-baked cookies are a few of my favorites. For the not-so-culinarily-inclined, there’s always boiling delicious-smelling things in water.

4.)Candles: The variety of scented candles and the places that sell them are endless. Did you know that in addition to being pretty-smelling, some of these scents have an added therapeutic benefit? Just make sure to blow them out before going to bed!

5.) Air Fresheners: From plug-ins to potpourri, there’s something for everyone out there.

The monsoons are undoubtedly here. But with the lovely breeze and torrential down pour comes one extremely aggravating side-effect – fungus and that musty smell within your home. One of the most prevalent reasons for this smell is the fact that during the monsoons the air is very humid and this moisture tends to leave the air inside your home, moist and warm – the perfect atmosphere for fungi and molds to grow.  Fungi and molds not only leave behind an annoying smell but can be highly detrimental for your health; they can cause breathing problems and allergies apart from other illnesses.  So, here are a few easy remedies you can try to rid your home of the annoying and unhealthy smell.
Tip#1: Burn some camphor: We commonly use this during poojas or other religious ceremonies, but camphor can also rid your home of fungal infestation and smell. All you need to do is light a  few pieces of camphor in every room (make sure you place the camphor on a steel plate before you light it, as it can stain floor tiles if burnt directly on the flooring). Let the entire piece burn completely. Once it is completely burnt out, remove the embers and close the doors – make sure you close the windows as well. Keep the room like this for about fifteen minutes to half an hour and you should have a mold free room that smells just wonderful.
Tip#2: Let the sun in: While there are very few days when the sun is clearly visible it is best to make good use of this natural disinfectant when it is available. Apart from that, the fresh breeze can do a great deal of good for the smell within your home. So, every once in a while keep your windows and doors open. If you do not want to keep them all ajar, try opening the ones that are diagonally opposite to each other open. This will allow for cross ventilation and help get rid of the smell.
But still,if you while having all set,you end up getting nagged by the horrendous odours, then instead of spoiling your mood and smile, try the #smellytosmiley effect from Ambi Pur,because these not only cover the odours but removes them permanently.

From Smelly to Smiley.

“Sughandha! Are you too getting this smell from somewhere around ?” Sughandha’s mom asked her.
“Yes mom,I don’t know, where is this smell coming from. So irritating it is!”-replied Sughandha while cringing her nose a bit.
“These bad smells are like curse to this house. The more we try to clean the house, the more such odours fail our attempts.”-Sughandha’s mom said in a disappointing tone while switching on the television, for her daily soap’s time it was.
“DENIM INCENSE STICKS AND DHOOP-an all natural way to demolish all those bad odours from your house in just a single minute. Buy it! Light it and see the magic!”cried a voice inside the television, already trying to attract the ladies.
“We should buy it!”-Both replied with a smile.
And then they experienced no odour problems.
From smelly to smiley, their smile said it all.

————–
Ever seen such happening with someone in real and then ever watch them living so happily ever after without facing any smelly and nagging foul smells. Your answer must be a “No”,right?
Ofcourse, all those smells which keep on nagging you and all those who visit your home either expectedly or unexpectedly don’t go away easily by using any incense sticks or ordinary natural methods.
Our house never goes a day without a smell,be it a good one or a foul one. Doesn’t matter. Be it a powerful smell of those spices,my mother uses in the kitchen or the badly powerful odour of something similar to a rotten egg or maybe vegetables or what not. We try everything everyday in order to get rid of a malodorous smell which tries hard to keep up with our hard work of cleaning every single corner and hidden sides of our house, giving our hard work a tough competition.
And no matter how hard we try,our idea of using naturally scented flowers,or using those smokey incense sticks never helps and ofcourse in the competition, these rancid and nauseous smells overcome the good ones.
And sometimes such smells become so smelly that even the regular mopping by our maids don’t help either. Everything when seems a failure,we end up sitting like a defeated soldier and let all those people with ‘good’ nose tell you about an already known statement- “Your house smells a lot!”; and along with it follows a trail of suggestions which they give ,of those already used weapons of yours. Same incense sticks! Same natural scented flowers! But still the same odours.
It is not like we have got only these two solutions for eliminating such irritating smells, but instead many solutions. Among a long list of things which can definetely provide you with a strong competitor against the smelly smells, there stands an option of using aerosols (or room freshners). But still every competitor you use for your fight,it surely beholds a disadvantage too. Many aerosols,we end up picking helps in abolishing the odour for sometime and then those who pick up these smells appear as those people who visit our house as a guest or maybe our nose.
Type of such smells vary from season to season, along with the various reasons of their existence. Likewise, there comes the season of Rain-Monsoon;Ready to invite all those nauseous odours to your home, all ready to make your clean and precious house similar to (somewhat) a smelly, old place, where living looks hell.
It is the season when, after cleaning all your house, when you sit for a clean and wonderful dinner with your family,an unknown smelly odour makes your dinner a no-wonder thing and spoils everyone’s mood.
In this season, all you need to do is stay careful while doing various household work, because you never know when the foul smell make up to your house and you may end up getting your mood totally spoiled.
For this, there is the need for the #SmellytoSmiley effect with the Ambi Pur Air Effects.
Because, the season has already started and the season of odours too. Lets just hope that our house may not smell bad and horrid like all those houses do,which we often visit and end up talking about.

Hug your dad!

This father’s day,I believe is again going to be as same and boring as those already gone days of all the years. No,It doesn’t mean I don’t love my father, neither does it mean that my father hates me. Then, why am I not making any effort to make him smile on this father’s day.
I really don’t know if I ever would be able to love my father that way as I do my mother. Maybe because my relationship with my father is not of a “daddy” type, but instead of a serious “father” type. I don’t have any special talking sessions with him like I use to have with mom.
It has been said that- “Daughters share a very unique and beautiful bond with their fathers and sons with their moms”.
I am not very well agree with it,though I agree I cannot ignore my love and concern towards my father. I,sometimes show it too,but my father well,he is sort of a hard rock of our family. He would joke around with everybody, except me.
I used to think a lot about this and out of so much frustration and curiousity,I ended up asking my mom this question one day.
“Mom,what do you think? Does dad really love me or does he hate me so much that he doesn’t want to talk with me anymore”
My mom smiled and said nothing. It is my mom’s weird habit,if I ask anything; She (for sometime though) keeps on smiling and then cares to answer the question.
She started-“Dear,do you know what is the difference between a mother and a father?”
She took my silence as my approval to continue.
“You know,a mother is a soft-heartened woman, who loves her children without any pay-back but still craves for their love and sometimes her this craving becomes visible too; But a father,he is that strong pillar of his family who from the day he see his kids, decides to be their saviour, their guarding angel. Ever since every father is like this only. He would protect you,he would scold you and would love you unconditionally,it is just like not every time his love would be visible to you. So it should be you,who shouldn’t take it as otherwise. Because all what a father does for his kids cannot be compared with what a mom does for them.”
My mom ended and walked away.
I still don’t get it. Why my father has to be this strict ? Why cannot he be like Jassveen’s dad,so loving and caring. Most importantly atleast his love is visible to her and she respects it. But how am I suppose to love him back when I don’t get his love in an open form.
“Stop thinking about it. Not all dads share the same lovey dovey relationship with their daughters.”
I thought and gave a break to my this thought.
Then one normal night, when I was passing by my mom and dad’s room,I heard their conversation. And being a typical me as I am,I decided to stay there and give an ear to their on going conversation.
My mom, being the most typical mom was telling him all what I have had asked about him before from her.
But maybe,it was for some good cause. Because when my dad started,I didn’t know I would end up crying. Melodramatic Me. Hehe.
“I know I have always been rude towards my kid,to her the most. But all what I do all what I act,I do it so that they won’t end up like me. The situations through which I have gone through and the life I am living won’t repeat in their life. I want to be called by their name prefixed before me, by the people. I want to hear people say “See there they are- Ritu’s Parents”. I want my daughter to show the world that she is strong and independent and if for this I have to act rough and harsh,I don’t think I should hesitate. She shares a loving bond with you but somewhere within her I believe there must be some hatred that how hard I act on her. But soon when she would achieve something big,her that hatred would be the reason behind her this success.”
I couldn’t hear more from my dad, because I was all wrong about him. That night turned out to be a major turning point in my life. I started respecting him and I still do.
It is not like we have started sharing laughs and jokes, instead now I don’t complain because I am aware about the hidden love behind his this face.
This is the utmost reason due to which my dad deserves hugs from me not on only father’s day but everytime I get chance to wrap my arms around him.
He is doing something which I believe a “dad” couldn’t do and a father can.
Your father must be doing this too,so go and give them a hug. That is all you could give him on this father’s day.
“This father’s day, I am expressing my love towards my dad by participating in the#HugYourDad activity at BlogAdda in association with Vicks.”

A Silent Hug ( every father needs )

If you’re angry at a loved one, hug that person. And mean it. You may not want to hug – which is all the more reason to do so. It’s hard to stay angry when someone shows they love you, and that’s precisely what happens when we hug each other.
Daughters and mothers according to me share actually a very loving bond yet the silent relation between every daughter and her dad cannot be ignored.
I have definitely taken the time to show Mom’s love on this site, but only drop some quick nods to Dads, here and there.
Why? Well, Dads are different from Moms in the sense that a Dad might have done something awesome for you and been the greatest guy ever, but some Dads just aren’t comfortable talking about that. To some Dads, the ultimate reward is just you going out and doing the best you can, and every now and then, if we hug and admit we love each other, all will be well with the world.
But come on, it’s Father’s day for crying out loud. If there is only one day a year we go on and on about how cool Dads are, this is the day. I did it last year, and even if my Dad and I, and most people with their Dad’s, don’t always see eye to eye, I am gonna blather about Dads some more.

I, still am aware of my Dad’s habit to follow some weird, “unspoken Dad code”, which actually make him unique from all those rest of the fathers.

My dad has never been a very perfect father figure for me,maybe because we talked less and still do that. Or maybe we do not share a normal relationship like every other daughter and her father shares.
But,I cannot neglect my father’s unspoken love and care towards me. It is not necessarily true that all the fathers of this world have to be perfect, without any single flaw. I believe,if only we kids accept them the way they are;Whether they are flawed or not, we need to see those flaws and understand they exist.
Dads cannot be define as the one who could make you laugh the hardest, but also he could make you cry the hardest, too. But remember, parenting is work, and he probably did the best he could, even if it was far from perfect sometimes.
My Mom has always been sort of the rock, keeping us ground, and the Dad been sort of a rock-star helping us in dealing with crazier stuff.
We just don’t have the greatest of relationships. so I am like quite reluctant to share that kind of expression of love.
But still my dad is an inspiration for me,because I believe he,through his those un-needed (useless) scoldings of everytime, always try to make me learn something new and maybe to make me feel independent.
His silent care, unexpressed love, hard taunts and scoldings, always end up in moulding me into someone,on which he himself is proud of today (somewhat).
His these uncount efforts and unique way of making me understand his love and concern for me,do deserves a hug on his day.
When several daughters would be sharing a lovable and affectionate hug with their fathers,I surely will be sharing a hug full of concern, awkwardness and ofcourse our love for each other.
It is not actually mandatory everytime,to show your love and care to everyone; If they love you, they would find the love behind your anger and concern behind your scoldings.
I love my father and I know what he has done for me and what he is doing for me and my future, though I know we would never share a very lovey dovey normal daughter-father relation, but we share an unbreakable bond;Because of which I know my dad deserves a hug from me. After all this is all what I could gift him on this father’s day.
Our hug would be awkward but who cares, after all it’s a god damn day for my “DAD”!
Never wait until tomorrow to hug someone you could hug today,
because when you give one, you get one right back your way.
So,I am gifting my dad a bear hug this father’s day.
“This father’s day, I am expressing my love towards my dad by participating in the#HugYourDad activity at BlogAdda in association with Vicks.”

And then among this crowd, there is you
standing upright,with so much pride?
No!
Instead, with so much fright in your eyes.
Why?
Because, you know this crowd would be here today and there tomorrow, you will be alone again with this burden of incapabilities you have,
Then, why are you even standing here?
Because, again your heart has won over your mind and is pushing you again towards your forthcoming failure.
Failure?
Yes,because deep down, your soul has already accepted the defeat, the failure and is not at all ready to boost up your confidence.
Then, what do you plan to do now?
If only I could accept my failure this easily,I won’t be standing here amidst this crowd, being the way I am!
-The shit I write. 😁
